Psychoeducational Testing

This type of assessment investigates academic potential & performance across a wide array of cognitive domains and is often used in screening for attention and learning issues. 

Written Psychoeducational Reports include test findings plus recommendations to schools for accommodations and customized strategies for optimal learning.

 

Psychological Testing

This type of assessment is used to investigate socio-emotional functioning and is often sought to help determine strengths & weaknesses in an individual's general level of functioning (coping mechanisms, capacity for emotional regulation, and cognitive/emotional/behavioral style).  

Written reports include test findings, DSM diagnosis and recommendations for treatment.

 

Neuropsychological Evaluation

Comprehensive testing used for the global assessment of cognitive (brain) functioning that includes the areas of language (receptive and expressive) visual-spatial systems, executive functioning (i.e., problem-solving, planning, organization, attention) memory (auditory and visual) perception ( visual and auditory) and socio-emotional functioning. Evaluations are used for diagnosing a wide range of disorders including processing disorders (central auditory processing / processing speed) executive functioning (including attention disorders) learning disabilities (i.e., reading/ writing/ math/ non-verbal) and a wide range of psychiatric disorders. Neuropsychological examinations also assess cognitive and emotional functioning post brain injury (for example from stroke, head injury, seizure, dementia and more).  

Test Reports include detailed information covering a wide range of domains and include DSM diagnoses and detailed treatment recommendations.
